My dress

I have talked, blogged, dreamt about it. I finally own it- my Lanvin Loves H&M dress.

I tried ordering it online but it's only available in Europe and worse still, they require the delivery address and billing address to be identical (why??). I've tried asking Kel to grab it for me during his trip to States. Guys being guys, they will not queue. Well, I cannot blame him because it was an extraordinary queue. Women, seemingly, are unwilling to queue for dental appointments but are most willing to stay out in the blistering cold, a night before the launch to ensure they are first in line.

I thought That's it. There goes the Collection. Santa must have really heard my embarrassing prayers and dropped me a subtle hint. Geraldine texted at 3am one day, saying there's a H&M event the following day and asked if I wanted to go. Definitely was what I replied, without even asking what the event was. In my sleep, I swear I heard someone saying that H&M was in Singapore doing their pre pre pre pre-opening special, 8 months in advance.

It turned out not to be an event but a private sale. You know how frequent-flying fashionistas will hunt down the greatest fashion bargains, cat-fight for the items, pay for overweight luggages and sell the goodies at marked-up prices to people like me?Yea, this is one. I couldn't believe my luck until I stepped into the room. There they were, gorgeous Lanvin Loves H&M dresses and shoes staring innocently at me. Ahhh... I love surprises.



The quality is definitely not even half as good as an original Lanvin dress but who's complaining- we paid for it at H&M price.

Just one small issue. I bought the puffed-sleeve halter and there's a tricky part about the dress- the sleeve, obviously. It just doesn't stay 'up'. I wonder if I have to starch it like olden days. haha. See the difference??

I was eyeing this ballerina dress too but it's too gorgeous to give any mileage. I see myself wearing it only once. Too bad Geraldine and Sis's wedding are not anytime soon.
